Hi my name is Joe i am a Newbe to the Dance Form and also to Ballet. Yes i will be taking Beginner Adult Ballet Class Starting June 5th. It s a 10 week summer course that this Stuido or i should say Academy is offering.
Ok here is how i chose Ballet and got Hooked with out even taking my first Class. I Scuba Dive and every year during the cold winter months i will do indoor pool dives with the dive club just to keep in shape and to pratice our skills and check out our gear. Anyway one night over Pizza after a dive one of the women said she had been doing Ballet instead of going to a gym and working out and she said it has help her a lot and not only that she too is now Hooked on Ballet.
Well back in March i started looking at different places first i am told we dont teach Adult Ballet or we had to cancel the class because only two people wanted to take it etc etc etc. Any way my Daughter who is 22 and has dance ballet for 10 years and the last 2 years in Point Classes until about a year ago she decided to take some time off from ballet told me about this Academy which is only a one mile from the house. I also told by my woman friend from the dive club about this place come to find out that s where she takes her Ballet Classes at. at So i call the place leave a message telling them i want to take an Adult Ballet Class. Just two week s ago after i left the message the Owner/Teacher called me on a Saturday afternoon and we talk for about 10 minutes on the phone. She really made me feel welcome and did not try and discourage me at all. I will be droping off my Registration and a check to her this Wed and i will also meet her and talk with her some more about what i have to wear , and the night and time for class and anything else that i can think of asking. think The good new s out of all of this i dont plan to stop after the 10 weeks is up in Aug . I plan to take Begining Adult Ballet 2 times a week in the fall too as you can see i am Hooked and Excited about getting started in Ballet and joining this Dance Forum.

That's great. Ballet can be really fun. Though it is hard work it all pays of in the end. I think you can keep going with ballet after your classes end and you can register for new ones. Ballet is a blast and you'll have a fun time with it. tell us how you first class goes.

Break a leg (good luck)

Thank s for the Advice Primaballerina 175. Dont worry i will let you know how that first class goes for me when i start the first week of June. Now in the mean time when i had talk to her on the phone she said she would like me to sit in on a Class one night and then take a Free Class also. So when i go Wed to give her my Registration and Pay for the 10 week Class i will ask her about that again. By all means i will let you know what is going on, after all that s what were here for right.
BTW Thanks for the Break a Leg ( Good luck) and making me feel at home here i know i am going to enjoy both Ballet and this Forum. Thanks
