First Adult Ballet Class.

Well i made it thru my First Adult Ballet Class tonight Tuesday. There are 14 of us in class plus our teacher and her asst teacher.There are 13 women and one guy :arrow: :arrow: ME in the class. Hey no problem i there to learn Ballet. Anyway had a short 5 minute introduction history about Ballet and our teacher also told the women that next week to put there hair in a Bun for those who did not have it that way tonight and to wear the right attire . Two women had Jazz Pant s on instead of the Black leotard and White tights See i dont have to worry about all that stuff :lol: :lol: :lol: . Any way we started lerning the 5 positions of the feet and arms, how to place them, learn pilates( hope i spelled that right) learn how to approach the barre and how to turn from the Left and to the Right when your at the Barre,did jump s in the 1st and second positions then we did it 1 2 1 2 . Then the last thing we learn was to Bow so the girls were taught there way i was t taught the man s way.It was fun tonight i know i will enjoy this class a lot. Lot s of feet work and leg work tonight i wounder how sore my feet will be in the morning :lol: :lol: . I am going to enjoy learning and doing Ballet.

well congrats! im really happy for you! the first ballet class is always great. and its only going to get better :D i hope your not too sore in the morning

Hey Thanks for the Congrat s and Support geee i was not sore this morning , but last night after class the bottom of my feet were sore i think it was from wering Ballet Shoes for the first time.

Oh yes your are right about that. I just got in a while ago(Saturday Night) from San Diego Calif i was out there for a week and last Tuesday night was my second Adult Ballet Class well i had to :( :( miss it and boy did i ever :( :( miss that one hour. So you see it is ADDICTING :D

Well Adult Ballet class is moving right along. Last week was by first time back because i was gone a week and had to miss a class which i was not the only one to miss either. Any way when i left we had all together 14 of us in class well now we have 16 :) of us in class now and yes i am still the only Male in the class.
Well i am learning a lot so far and doing fine . Got the 5 basic positions down and so forth. The only thing that threw me an the other women off was something they all learn the week we were not :oops: there forgot the name of the movement but all we saw was leggs moving side to side and crossing over :shock: :shock: :shock: . See it does not pay to miss a week of ballet.
Dont worry i am NOT giving up and i never will i really and truley love Ballet and all the work and pratice i am starting to put into it and the nice Support i get from all of you..
BTW the one thing i got use to besides being the only Guy in the class :lol: :lol: is having our teacher call us Dancer s. She say something like Dancers to the barre or dancers were going to do this or Dancers form 2 lines , it is soo cool to hear that. :)
