Last year I read the book Billy Elliot. I thought it was great. And later my friend let me borrow the DVD. They were both great, and its interesting, because the book was written after the movie was made, and now its even a play!
Its about a boy named Billy who live in a very poor and rough part of England. His dad really expects him to be a boxer, he's not so good because all he does is focus on the footwork. His boxing gym is shared with a Ballet Studio and oneday he goes to a class, almost Jokingly, and loves it and is really good.
Its about his struggles with getting people to exept him, expecially his Dad and older brother, and how he works hard to achive his dream of dancing in a big Ballet Performance. I loved it! :wink:
