|
|
If you're a ballet fanatic, you will know that SAB, or known as School of American Ballet, is the new ballet school trend these days. ABT is no longer the top school for ballet, SAB is.
For those ballet students, I suggest auditioning for the following schools:
Maryland Youth Ballet
Houston Ballet
Washington School of Ballet
School of American Ballet
Joffrey Ballet School
San Francisco Ballet
American Ballet Theatre
Each school gives out scholarships for the students who show promising talent and potential. Housing and cost are the only things that will be a problem to most students, but financial aid is always available.
I am in the Joffrey Ballet School this summer -- actually, my 8 weeks ends this Saturday. In January, I will be auditioning for SAB, ABT, Joffrey, and WSoB.
Hope all the other students here are goal-oriented. |

Sorry for the late response! Even though I wasn't Franz with Swanilda, I did get to do my own pas de deux (the Village Couple) which was nice.
The piece went well. I could've done better, but I say that with everything. :p :p |

you sound like me and gabe. we're always hard on ourselves even when we do well...i guess because we notice things that no one else does about our own dancing. Congratulations tho, I'm sure you did fantastic!!!!!!
Quick question....have you heard of The Rock School? It's a pre professional training school in ballet. It's in either Pennsylvania or Phillidelphia I think. Anyways, a girl at my studio auditioned and was just accepted to go there and leaves in two weeks. She is 13 and amazing. She'll live there and go to school and everything and of course train in dance. She can only come home on holidays. I'm so happy for her but we will miss her a lot too. Just wondering if you've heard of it. |

| I've heard that the Rock school is the best ballet school on the East coast. Correct me if I'm wrong, hee, one of my friends who auditioned there also was accepted and will be staying there. |
