Stop by the 'shop December 15 and 16 to pick up some moves!
Whether you're new to krumping, popping and tutting, or just looking to perfect your skills, the hip hop 'shop is the place to learn, practice and perform. It's a two day workshop – taught by choreographers Moon of Marvelous Motion, Shawn Welling of Planet Funk and Kathy Wood of FLY KiDS – that concludes with a free public performance featuring the collaboration of these choreographers and showcasing the participants' new moves. If you're completely new to dance, no worries! the hip hop 'shop has a laid back beginner's track. If you're looking to perform in a Dance Houston concert, this could be your in. Select dancers from the advanced level will be invited to perform the piece they learn at Dance Houston's Winter Formal at the Wortham Center on January 26, 2008. We hope to see you there!
