I have the best news! During my most recent belly dance class my instructor started talking about a new performance troupe and then invited me to join! Hooray!!!! I really can dance!
We'll have practice one a week outside of regular class time and will promote our troupe to perform at area events, festivals, weddings, etc. I am so excited and can hardly wait to begin costume shopping!
Totally picked up a tassle belt at pratice last week from our "treasure chest" of goodies. Can't wait to use it! |

More exciting news...
I have a bellydance recital this Sunday! I am so excited!!!!
Our two classes are each performing a dance, our instructor is performing a sword dance, and the ChandraDevi dance troupe (of which I am a member!) is performing an improvisational dance as well. It will be so much fun!
My mom helped make these amazing harem pants that are rainbow colored and just make me happy. I'll have to eventually post some pictures to the back side of my site and give you guys/gals the link to view.
Also exciting...our bellydance troupe is going to perform at a huge local event in January. We're going to be learning a sword dance! I am so excited! |

It was amazing!
Some of my family and in-laws who have never seen me dance before came to the show and they had a good time. It was a fairly large crowd and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Our troupe leader and class instructor did an awesome sword dance and looks like our troupe will be learning one for the January recital.
As soon as I have pictures I'll be sure to post on my site and let you know so you can see our smiling faces and beautiful costumes. |
