Dancing as a career

Hello,

I need some advice, I've not actully started dance lessons yet, I'm joining a dance school at the end of January. I'm 17. I've only just really discovered my love for dancing in the past year or so, the thing is I'd really love to be a professional dancer, but do you think I could still achieve it because I'm 17 and I know lots of girls start dancing at a very young age.

I think you could start at 17. If you work really hard at this school that you will be joining.

I started at thirteen, and yes, you can do it!!! There are sixty year old people in my dance studio who are getting their first pairs of pointe shoes (and I've said this once before) and they are all really great dancers!

DancingQueen if this is what you really want to be a Professional Dancer then it s up to you to follow your dream. So get out there and GO FOR IT. Were all behind you 100%. :D

I think I will go for it because it is all I want to do, if I work really hard then I hope to persue my dream and become a professional dancer.
