For the most part i am fairly flexible, I can perform both splits right and left, perfectly, And I have a fairly large leap, as well as a decent side leap. But my straddle stretch isn't very wide, it's over 90 degrees but maybe only by 20 degrees max, I stretch almost daily and push my straddle more, and hold it till the stretch fades away and then push some more but i don't feel like when i push it i am moving, Also when i push into it, my feet move with my body so my legs aren't getting wider. I am trying to get more out of my straddle stretch because i have great flexibility when i lean to the right and the left as well as the middle, i can basically lay flat on the floor and not get much of anything out of it. Basically i feel like my straddle stretches are wasting my time. I do the froggy sits, and i aslo do the thing where you lay on the floor with your legs up against a wall and split from there but nothing has really help improve my flexibility. I know it takes time to get results but I've been dancing for 3 years now and I did gymnastics from 3 to 16, I am 21 now, so its not like my body is new to being stretched and tortured. So if anyone has advice I would appreciate it a bunch!

Welcome to dance forums. I'm not really sure if people who can do the pslits can leap and have the legs be at 180 degrees. I'm sorry I can't do the splits very well so I'm not sure how to help. :(

the only thing i can say is just keep pushing it. don't over strain your body, but work at it everyday. it just takes time.
