|
i need help with stretching my feet! i have bad feet, they hardly stretch, so i'm not en pointe. i've been stretching my feet under a couch a lot, and my feet will look better, but then they go back. will my ankles ever get more flexible? i bought a theraband yesterday...so that'll help a lot w/ strength.
but i have horrible feet and bad arches but i really really want to be en pointe cuz i want to have a career in dance!
HELP!! anybody else been in this situation and gotten past it?
what has worked for you?
p.s. i started ballet at 15 (after a loong break from dancing when i was little) and i'm almost 17 now, so my feet are already fully grown and developed. |

| My problem is kind of similar, when i'm stretching on the floor my legs are perfectly flexible. Moreover, when i'm at the Barre and the teacher lifts one of my legs, it raises above my head ..but in dancing my legs are heavy and i have some difficulties in controlling them...Although my teacher says i'm flexible i can never enjoy this because i am aware of my problems..However, i'm just a beginner and i hope i'm improving.. :D |
