Hello,
Some of you may know me from the partner-dancing sister site dance-forums.com. I'm from Australia (so usually post during what's the middle of the night in the US) and I'm a ballroom dancer at heart.
But anyways, I'm here because I'm starting a tap class this afternoon and am pretty nervous about the whole thing. I'm 18 (so feeling a bit old to be starting) as well as the fact that the class has been going for three weeks (I think, maybe a bit more) already, and I've got no idea what to expect. I know most people are around my age, but that's about it. I think I'll feel a bit self conscious in my jazz shoes (given I haven't got tap shoes yet). Any advice? I'm really scared!
Thanks for your help!

Well hopefully your class went well and you enjoyed it. If you want to supplement your learning, go to http://www.tapdancelessons.com and http://www.unitedtaps.com. There are lessons and dictionaries and videos there that you will find quite helpful. Good Luck.
