One would imagine that jazz dance is the style, but I've seen some routines on youtube and it DOES NOT look like stuff from musicals. (Think boa, tophat, fake eyelashes, heels, etc.) I know that some jazz across-the-floors look good with jazz music, but the rest is kind of not what I'm thinking of doing for my solo next week.

I need to know the exact name of the style because a) I haven't learned it before, but I need to perform it anyway, and b) when I get announced on to the stage, they will be announcing the style of dance as well..

Thanks.
