next year is my last year at the performing arts academy i go to. every year, a senior from the dance department does a farewell tribute to the rest of their classmates on our senior day/graduation. last year, two girls did a beautiful duet to "trapeze swinger" by iron and wine.

the senior tribute dance has be passed on to me, and i need to pick a song, but i'm comming up short with ideas. racking my brain, and my itunes, i was able to come up with "home" by micheal buble, but thats so cliche. i also thought about "hometown glory" by adele, but the mood didn't fit the idea that i love my fellow classmates and emphasized leaving too much.

so i need your help! what do you suggest for a song about remebrance and fond memories thats not over used and good for a modern/lyrical piece?

(also, the dance has to be done in my school's sweat pants, which was designed for everyone, not just the dancers, all the writers and av kids and stuff, so their not exactly form fitting...which is another thing i have to keep in mind. but thats just more of a pain then something to consider for song choice haha)

thanks so much in advance,
kate from Arts At the Capitol Theater Regional Half Day Magnet School, willimantic, CT.

i should also mention that this dance means a ton to me...i really want it to be special. i'm leaving a small town in connecticut to go to college in chicago... so i'll probably never see half these people again. i really want to leave a lasting impression on how much they've changed my life and how much i love them.

but i'll stop rambling like a fool now.
