Perhaps this has been covered in a previous discussion, but I thought I would start the question...

What are the various styles of tap?

I briefly recall hearing the terms Broadway, Studio, and Hoofing. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? What are the differences? How do you become proficient in each?

Rhythym tap is what Savion performs. Not much in the way of turns or arms and additional steps not used in straight show tap.

Show tap or what some call Broadway tap has a cleaner, more precise look to it. Arms are very much a part of Broadway tap as are turns.

You can mix styles as well.

I've never heard of modern tap but it's probably out there somewhere. lol

Thanks for the explanation.
