Hello! I guess this is an introductory thread. I apologize if it's in the wrong place! :D
I'm Katie and I have wanted to tap dance for a long time. When I spotted a pair of tap shoes in stock at a local shoestore I made up my mind to finally learn. So, I started yesterday. :o
I'm practicing the Flap, Shuffle, and a few of the step changes but that's about all I know. I thought if I could find an online community (like this one) you might be able to direct me toward which basic steps to learn and practice first. A solid basic foundation of tap dance is what I'm thinking I need, so if anyone has any advice, resources (and encouragement) please share. [/color:41d578e79d] |

I have over 280 tap moves on video and organized by level at my website http://www.unitedtaps.com I break the moves down and explain how to do them. You should probably start with all the moves in level 1. I have another site http://www.tapdancelessons.com that has a complete beginners class to get you started. Good Luck, you;re going to have a blast!
