Who's your all-time favorite tap dancer?
Hmm...I like to many to pick just one. I guess I'd pick the late Gregory Hines. What a beautiful tapper! |

| Hmmm....it's a definite toss-up between Ann Miller (the "Prehistoric Man" number in On the Town and the tap solo she does in Easter Parade did it for me there), Gregory Hines and Savion Glover. Very, very difficult decision, especially because of the uniqueness of their styles... |

Agreed... It's really difficult to choose a favorite when they're all so unique!
Easter Parade...excellent movie! |

| It doesn't help that I grew up watching all of the classic musicals. I was in love with Gene Kelly for years. Singin' in the Rain is still my favourite movie...and at one point in time, as a little girl, I used to wish that my last name was Reynolds instead of Russell (I've got the Debbie part already. ;)) |

On a totally different, and yet kind of similar note... As a child in grade school I saw The Wizard of Oz for the first time. I loved Dorothy so much I actually changed my name at school. My teacher had to call in my mom for a conference to discuss why I was handing in all my homework with the name Dorothy. |

Angel's favorite movie is also "Singing in the Rain" however as a favorite tapper she loves so many, as well as Gabe...
Shirley Temple (and Bojangles dancing together / angel loves her and her movies / wrote a report on her in 2nd grade).
Gregory Hines / probably the favorite
Gene Kelly
Savion / gabe's nickname at the studio is "Gabion"
Chance Taylor (master teacher they take from at times)
Roxanne Butterfly (master teacher from N.Y. that comes to teach)
Greg Russell (another awesome master teacher...also is great in hip hop) |

Hehehe, that's too cute!
The Wizard of Oz is my mom's all-time favourite movie. We grew up watching it, so I could quote it from start to finish by the time I was about 6. :) Have you seen the new musical Wicked? |

That is sooooooooooooooo cute!
I can't choose a favourite tap dancer though. They are all soooo amazing! I would give anything to be able to do half of what they can. I also saw Gabe and Angels videos from America's Most Talented Kids. I think that they are really really good! :o I wish I could do that!!! |

I haven't, but I read an article about it and heard really good reviews. Have you seen it? Anyone else seen it? |

I haven't, but I read an article about it and heard really good reviews. Have you seen it? Anyone else seen it? I saw the touring cast when they were in Toronto on March and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. I thought it was just fabulous! Very different from the book (which is definitely an unexpected and adult-oriented read, coming from the classic Wizard of Oz movie upbringing) but it quickly became my favourite musical. I'm hoping to snag tickets for when I go back to New York City at the end of July, because BEN VEREEN *SQUEE!* is joining the cast as the Wizard! *bouncebouncebounce!* |

Bojangles and Shirley dancing together / all time favorite.
Gregory Hines
Gene Kelly
Savion
Chance Taylor
Roxanne Butterfly
Greg Russell
haha...the list ended up in the same order however Shirley and Bojangles are my absolute favorites. Gregory Hines is Gabes and Angel's is Shirley Temple, like me. |

I hav 2 favorates.....
From the more recent tappers, i would HAVE 2 say Greggory Hines! He wass absolutely amazing!
Then goin WAYYY back, my all-time favorate would have 2 be
"Peg Leg Bates". You may not know him, but he was amazing. When he was a boy, he was on his dads farm and got one of his legs caught in a machine, so he had to get aa peg leg. But he still wanted to continue dancing, so he did with one tap shoe and his peg leg! and he became very well known because of his creativity that he had with his leg. hes always been one of my favorates! :D |
