|
|
| I accidentally posted several messages under "Guest." I finally realized it and logged in... I went back and resposted under "dancersdreamland" and now I don't know how to delete the "guest" messages. Can anyone help? |

| I have also made some accidental postings... :) and I am pretty shure that only the administrators or moderators can take them away. [b:d61eb2e28d]I think it would be better to have it compulsory to be registered in order to be able to post[/b:d61eb2e28d], as for the sister forums. Then we would avoid accidental postings and maybe have less advertising also. (Though I haven't seen any advertising yet.) |

| Agreed. I believe both issues (removing accidental guest postings, and making membership necessary to be able to post) are being looked in to. |

| Only somebody with Moderator or Administrator status can delete topics. It's relatively easy to do once you have mod access. There's a little button down at the bottom right hand side of a thread that allows you to delete the thread. |

| Thanks, Medira! Since my original post I've actually been honored with the title of moderator on a few of the boards...I'm still learning my duties. :D |

I'm the Administrator for 5 different forums right now, and one of them is a phpBB one (like this one and the main DF site...though not dance-related) so I may be able to help if there's something you want to figure out. :) |

Hmmm, actually looks like David beat me to it, so all of the individual forums now require registration to post. |

That's how Gabe and Angel's board is set up. You are required to register before you can view or post. I like it that way much better. |

Yes, that's actually how we try and set up all of the Forum Plexus sites. Sometimes we just forget to set the permissions appropriately if we're juggling some other things. But that's when great members like all of you point it out to us and we can fix things right up... in this no less than anything else, it's our great members who make our sites what they are, so thanks to all of you!!! :D :D :D |
