Tap Movies

Do you know of many tap movies?

I know of a few movies (not Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly) that feature tap:
~ Tap (with Gregory Hines)
~ Stepping Out (with Liza Minnelli)

Are there others?

If so, I would love to add them to the Movie Madness section of my website which is a pretty extensive list of dance movies. Check it out at http://www.dancersdreamland.com/movie_main.htm.

Stormy Weather (1943?) - Bill "Bojangles" Robinson
Bojangles (2001) - Gregory Hines

...and that's about all I can think of excluding Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire. :P

Ooh...I haven't seen those! I'll have to add them to my dance movie list and see if I can find them somewhere to rent. Thanks for the info!

Bojangles may be hard to find, because I think it was a made-for-tv movie originally. It couldn't hurt to have a look around though!

All of the Shirley Temple movies have tap in them. There are one or two of them with Bojangles in them dancing with Shirley. One is the famous staircase routine.

Pretty soon I will also have a listing of all the Shirly Temple and Fred Astaires movies in the Movie Madness section of my site.

Thanks! I've worked really hard on the site and am trying to make it an ultimate dance resource.

I'm working on adding the movies right now...there are a ton! Hopefully by early next week it will be updated.

It's done! Dancer's Dream Land (the website) now includes even MORE dance movies. I added movies with Fred Astaire, Shirley Temple, Bojangles, and a few others. I had to add more movies pages...
