|
|
My wife taped when she was younger, is taking it up again, and has convinced me to come along (the things I do for my wife, but that's a whold 'nother story.) Anyway, I've run into a problem. I wear size 13 men's street shoes. I can't find any tap shoes in my size.
Does anyone know of a source of larger men's taps shoes?
Is it possible to take a pair of street shoes and add taps? If so, what type of shoe should I get?
Does anyone know of someone the Atlanta, GA area (or who I can mail shoes to) that can do a good job of adding taps?
And of course (like everyone eles nowadays) I'm trying not to bust my budget.
Thanks in advance. |

Since it sounds like you're just getting started, may I recommend a website or two for you:
The first is http://www.tapdancelessons.com. there you will find a lesson for complete beginners and some beginner combinations as well.
The second is http://www.unitedtaps.com. There you will find a tap syllabus with videos of every single step and an explanation of how it's done. Good Luck!
