So a handstand. When I first learned it, I was like holy shit ... Enough of my history. Handstands are easy but essential to bboying. They lead to 1990s, 2000s, etc. This is my second guide, my other one being my backspin guide. This move is mostly practice since onc you know the technique, you will have to practice practice and practice to find your center of balance.
I will teach you the way of getting into it without all the running and hopping, since I know beginners are afraid of doing that kind of stuff on their first try. Some call this "the gymnastic way". Oh yeah, and this guide teaches it for people who kick soccer balls with their right leg.

You land on your face. I will teach you how to prevent that 100%.

[*:e5d161a332]Get into the position that runners get into when they are about to begin a race. (Both hands on ground a bit wider than shoulder-width, left foot closer to hands than right foot, right foot planted behind you as far as it can go.)
[*:e5d161a332]Move forward so your shoulders are right over your hands. This is the most important part, since it will make sure you stay in the handstand longer.
[*:e5d161a332]Kick up with your left leg so your right leg swings up into the air. Don't kick too hard, and don't kick too lightly.
[*:e5d161a332]Make your left leg follow your right leg by swinging it into the air also.
[*:e5d161a332]Now try to make your legs straight.

[b:e5d161a332][u:e5d161a332]Tips To Make Sure You Will Get It[/u:e5d161a332][/b:e5d161a332]
[list:e5d161a332]
[*:e5d161a332]Try it against a wall so you won't think you will kill yourself. This part is purely for you to gain trust in yourself that you can kick yourself up without landing on your back.
[*:e5d161a332]Point your hands forward. Some people say point them out, but pointing the forward helps you stay balanced, since if you feel that you are leaning forward (onto your back), just try to straighten your hands a little. Try this on your feet. Stand and lean forward a little, and to try get back on balance without stepping out. What did you do with your feet? Do the same with your hands. Try again leaning back a little without stepping back. What did you do to gain balance? Do the same with your hands.
[*:e5d161a332][b:e5d161a332][i:e5d161a332][u:e5d161a332]This is the tip that ensures you will not fall on your face.[/u:e5d161a332][/i:e5d161a332] [/b:e5d161a332] LOCK YOUR ELBOWS. This is will allow you to concentrate in balancing and not falling.
[*:e5d161a332]If you are really strong or just good, you can bend your elbows. But for newbies, lock them!
[*:e5d161a332]To help you balance, look at the ground between your hands. If you sense you're falling, correct it.
[*:e5d161a332]If you can, do it beside a full-size mirror. You can see your body's shape.
