Sharon Kihara Workshop

I attended an amazing workshop with Sharon Kihara (http://sharonkihara.com/) in Chicago this past weekend.

She's a member of the Belly Dance Superstars and is currently touring the world with their show.

Her workshop included an hour and a half of warm up taken largely from Yoga and Suhaila Salimpour (one of Sharon's instructors). Then we learned an amazing choreography that had a mix of belly dance, hip hop, Indian, and a little ballet. It was FANTASTIC!

Just curious if anyone here has ever taken a workshop from Sharon or had the opportunity to see her perform? How about Suhaila?

wow...talking about Belly dance superstars! Nope, never attended her workshop nor watch her dance live before.
We just happened to be learning a song from the Bellydance superstars album. The song Ice Queen by Dinletir.
Lots of floorwork and kneeling bendback...my kneecaps are bruised because of that

What CD is the song on? I have the first and second compilations.

For your knees, you may want to try taking a yoga mat with you to class/practice. Save your knees now so you'll still be able to use them when you perform!

If I am not wrong, I tink its the 1st compilations
Its not available at all CD stores in singapore, so I ordered it online.
Its Ice Queen by dinletir, selected by raina that we are practising. I shopped ard for knee guard
