Please help! I'm getting desperate!

I need a song for both a hip hop and a tap solo for a 16 yr. old boy. I'm running out of time as we're about to start classes! Eek! :shock: Both dances will be competing (they're for the same boy) so we want something fresh, newer, but not overused. He's a little picky, but I can't blame him aren't we all when looking for the perfect song you have to hear a million times in one year?! He wants a kinda fast/hip hoppy type tap song too. And please don't give me anything too raunchy that would sound like it's been through a blender if I edit it. Help please and I thank and love ya forever! :wink:

Well, my son is 15, almost 16, and solos in tap as well, and will do a hip hop solo this year as well.

There are a few songs, "Renegade Master," "Commotion," "Stomp to my Beat" that are good for tap for a teenage boy in the style of music that I believe you are referring to.

Gabe, my son, also loves to tap to Bob Marley however that is extremely advanced as he he is supplying the only rhythm throughout. Not sure what level your student is. Gabe's danced to the first two I mentioned, and is thinking of using the third this year for Student Choreography however his teacher will choreograph something with him as well....we are in the same boat as you....picking songs. lol.

I have not a clue about hip hop songs....good luck!!

LL Cool J - Headsprung (not quite an ideal 16 year old-friendly song, just a little too heavy)
