I don't consider myself to be very graceful or rhythmic but I have always secretly wanted to take some sort of dance class. Maybe belly dancing since it's always appealed to me?
The problem is that I am incredibly afraid of failure and not being the top dog. I've been the best at most of the things I've done and the idea of being the worst in a class really haunts me and keeps me from doing anything. When I fail at things and become frustrated I sometimes end up in tears because I get so angry.
I don't even want to perform in public, I'd really just like to be able to dance for the sake of dancing...
For those of you who do it, how did you overcome your fear if you ever had any? |

| Well just practice alot before you go infront of audience, and when you're on stage, just forget that you have to be perfect, jus follow with the rhythm and what you practiced, and you'll do good. |

I guess my issue is deeper than that, I really don't like the idea of anyone seeing me, which makes it hard for me to learn how to dance haha
I guess I could try watching how to style videos at home but I doubt that's the same as taking any sort of real class. |
