Shahina is based in Glen Ellyn Illinois in the western suburbs of Chicago. In addition to her belly dancing vocation and her other dance pursuits, Shahina finds artistic expression in silk dyeing, costume design and creation, figure modeling, painting, drawing, and composing poetry.
