| Try playing the song over and over and just dancing to it. That usually works for me when I'm stuck. |

Perhaps write down various dance moves you know. Put them in a hat and then pull out two or three at a time. Work those few moves into a 16 count combination. Then draw more steps out of the hat.
This will help challenge your creativity and allow you to use movements you already know.
Then, once you have some combinations together, you can determine where they would best fit with the music and add in some transitions between them.
I also like to look at dance magazines and pull out poses of dancers. Then, you can choreograph around a pose or two you particularly like. Transition from one post to another and voila, you have another combination.
Be sure to let us know how it goes! |

| another good one is to use a couple of steps from a previous routin and mix them up and add some bits in, and maybe look at dance videos for insperation :) hope that helps a bit :) |

| I would definitely advise you listen to the song over and over, so you can learn the rhythm. Once you get it in your head, you will know how the song moves. Then I would try just doing your own dance moves to it. From there look in the mirror and watch yourself dance while the song plays. You will eventually make progress, but practice makes perfect. |

| I listen to the song and dance around for an 8 count, then I write it down, repeat it, and see if I like it. Also, I like to watch alot of peoples solos on YouTube. |

im acctualy a choreographer.... not like professionaly but i do projects here and there... right now im working on my high schools version on My Fair Lady... my next project will be working with the indoor winter drum line... i know that sounds weird but its needed... lol
anyway... i get most of my ideas while im laying in bed at night with the radion on....i end up getting up and danceing for hours at a time... comeing up with combinations.....
if you happen to get really stuck... email me... ill see what ican do to help!!!
lots of time when i get really really stuck and no one can help me ill throw in a new partner/group stunt... it tends to do the trick...
Hope i could help!!!!!!! |

| Something that has worked for me is to improvise to a totally different song, one that really moves me and take some of the movement vocaulary from what came out of that song and put them to the song I have to use. It can freshen up the way I'm are hearing the song and inspire new ideas. |
