Step Up will be released on video this coming Tuesday, December 19 - http://www.myspace.com/stepupmovie. I can't wait to finally see it.
Stomp the Yard hits theaters in January - http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/stomptheyard/. It's a cross between Drumline and You Got Served. Bet it'll be good! |

| I wish there were more dance films in the works...sigh. The genre makes for such a nice break from mysterys, police, violence and all the other garbage out there. |

| OK, not to be a downer, but I just watched a dance movie over the weekend, The Company, which by far and away has to be the worst movie I have ever seen! |

Yeah, I agree The Company wasn't all it was cracked up to be, but I still appreciated it.
I picked up Step Up on DVD this morning and can't wait to finish work so I can go home to watch it. I have high hopes it will be silly and cheesy, but if it's dance related, then I'm a sucker for it. |

Sorry, but I got a better idea of what the story was supposed to be about from the short blurb on the back of the cover than from having watched the whole freakin' movie! :?
As far as Step Up, I'm sure I'll be adding that to my collection of dance movies at some point too (cheesy or not!). :D |

Step Up was cheesy and a little slow moving in parts, but I still found it inspirational. As I do with most dance movies, I purchased it right away, so it's part of my collection.
I think this one will grow on me, like Honey did. It's not my favorite dance movie, but I'm sure the more I watch it the more I'll like it. In fact, I'm hoping to have some down time to watch it again this evening or perhaps I'll pop in Take the Lead. |

| Have you watched the different bonus features on the Take the Lead DVD? Some of them are really intereting! |

I'm a total bonus-watcher. Love that stuff.
I just bought Step Up, tho "Santa" is bringing it to me and mine on Sunday, so we won't watch it until then. Will report back next week for opinion.

| Yeah, The Company is by far the worst dance movie ever. I had such high hopes for it. It didn't really have much of a plot at all. |

How She Move will probably be coming out sometime later this year. It's a Canadian indie flick based on stepping. Basically the U.S. version of Stomp the Yard, but they say it has way more complex dance sequences. Here's a link...
