Does anyone have an outline for what to
include in a personal dance journal?
I am currently taking Nia classes and thought it
would be interesting to start a journal.
Thank You! |

Welcome!
Nia is such a fantastic form of dance and exercise. It's my goal to becom ea Nia instructor!
The dance journal should really be what you want to make of it. Recommendations on this to include would be your goals, what you've accomplished in dance (or after a class), what you felt while dancing. Perhaps if a piece of music inspires you, write out the lyrics or plan choreography.
You may want to include notes from classes or quotes that inspire you. If you're working on a diet, perhaps keep those notes in the journal as well. Note your energy with particular foods and such.
Overall, the journal should be your safe place to write your thoughts and emotions. Then just gear it toward dance.
All the best! |
