The subject of Isadora Duncan came up in another post, so I thought I would start a thread specifically focusing on her. Here are a few links with biographical information on Isadora:

Awesome! I will check these out...

I love learning the history of dance and music. I think it's just as important to know the history as the art.

I couldn't agree with you more. Sometimes I really think you need to know where something has been to know where it's going to go. It also helps you really appreciate the art form.

I hadn't thought about Isadora Duncan until I was watching "The Incredibles" when it came out in theatres and the character of Edna said the following when explaining to Mr. Incredible why she wouldn't create a new super suit with a cape:

"Capes can be as treacherous as Isadora Duncan's scarf, and if you don't know what happened to Isadora Duncan, Google the poor woman and shed a tear."

I cracked right up in the middle of the theatre. The friends I was with in the theatre had no idea what was so funny.

I completely did not make that connection during the movie! I'll have to go home and watch it now...
