I love learning the history of dance and music. I think it's just as important to know the history as the art. |

| I couldn't agree with you more. Sometimes I really think you need to know where something has been to know where it's going to go. It also helps you really appreciate the art form. |

I hadn't thought about Isadora Duncan until I was watching "The Incredibles" when it came out in theatres and the character of Edna said the following when explaining to Mr. Incredible why she wouldn't create a new super suit with a cape:
"Capes can be as treacherous as Isadora Duncan's scarf, and if you don't know what happened to Isadora Duncan, Google the poor woman and shed a tear."
I cracked right up in the middle of the theatre. The friends I was with in the theatre had no idea what was so funny. |
